Katie Hewitt is a writer, editor and content strategist. For nearly ten years, she worked with a global nonprofit in a role that took her to five continents, where she wrote about business under conscious capitalism and international development. She was once dispatched to Ecuador’s Amazon jungle to shadow cacao farmers in rural regions, and traveled to Haiti to cover rebuilding efforts on the tenth anniversary of the country’s devastating earthquake.

Katie has interviewed Nobel Peace Prize laureates Malala Yousafzai and Muhammad Yunus, former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, and Justin Bieber’s most famous ex, Selena Gomez. She graduated summa cum laude from York University with a double major in English and Philosophy and earned a Master of Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University. In her brief stint as a reporter, she worked for The Globe and Mail and the National Post. Her writing has also been featured in Reader’s Digest, Chatelaine and Flare. She lives in Vancouver.
